NEWS 12 WESTCHESTER: Michael Davitt has already turned down a deal that would cost him $33,000. (June 1, 2012)

The Tappan Zee Bridge dangler was expected back in Greenburgh Town Court Friday, but did not appear.

Michael Davitt, who attached himself to a harness and hung off the bridge for about three hours in Nov. 2011,  has already rejected a plea deal which included six months in jail and paying back more than $33,000 for the cost of the rescue operation.

Davitt says he was protesting corruption in government and his firing as a substance abuse counselor for Rockland County.
