Offbeat / Quirky, Bar scene, Live music
The extension to the Curry Club restaurant is a nightspot like few others. It's a slender space, with a single long bar in front of an earthy brick wall, with string lights barely illuminating the room and the seating nook off to the side. But, unlike most Long Island bars, clubs and lounges, the funky bashes here are driven by a group of DJs who play anything from current rock to old school new wave for a crowd that runs from hipsters and trendy people to more casually dressed guests. Other nights include karaoke (with an eclectic, non-pop selection of songs to sing), live bands and other artsy events. Meanwhile, those who need to expand on the evening can hang outside on the patio and sit around a blazing mobile fire pit during the chillier months.
