FAA downgrades Mexico's air safety rating

The Federal Aviation Administration has downgraded Mexico's air safety rating. The decision doesn't mean the country is flying dangerous aircraft. "This is about assessing the country's civil aviation authority," an FAA spokeswoman said. The ruling prevents Mexico from starting new service to the United States but does not affect existing routes.
