If you’re tired of having to sit on your suitcase to get it to close, it could be you need a few lessons in packing.

Lonely Planet is ready to help with “How to Pack for Any Trip” ($11.99), a handy 160-page primer packed with colorful illustrations that covers all of the basics from methods (rolling can save space and prevent wrinkles) to laundry lists (hotels the world over that have washers and dryers).

Campers will want to check out the step-by-step guide and illustrations for organizing backpacks (shoes go on the bottom, liquids go in external pockets).

Of course, if traveling light is just never going to happen as far as you’re concerned, you should turn to page 58, which is all about courier services and getting someone to carry your bags for you.
