Everybody loves a hotel deal...and these days, every major booking site offers some incarnation of an opague booking service to help you nab a better room at a cheaper price.
Travelocity.com's just-announced "Top Secret Hotels" feature promises discounts of up to 45 percent on 3- and 4-star hotels. The catch? You won't know the name of the hotel until after you've booked-- and all reservations are non-refundable.
Skeptics will appreciate the little details-- the hotel's star-ratings, amenities, general location and rankings from fellow travelers are displayed before you commit.
Searches today yielded a 4-star hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii for $105 and a 3-star hotel in downtown Disney (Lake Buena Vista, Fla.) at $59 for stays in early July.
