TSA: Allow more time for pre-flight screening

The Transportation Security Administration is now recommending passengers on international flights to U.S. destinations arrive at the airport an additional hour earlier (individual airline recommendations vary) to allow for heightened security screenings. Such measures, according to the TSA, could include increased pat-downs and bag screenings at the gates. Passengers may also be asked to follow additional flight crew instructions, such as stowing personal items, turning off electronic equipment and remaining seated during certain portions of the flight.
