The folks at Grand Canyon Caverns may have gotten carried away.
Knowing that hotel guests value privacy and quiet, they went ahead and constructed a motel room 22 stories below earth's surface in the largest dry canyon in the country. In case Armageddon strikes while you're there, the room also functions as a handy bomb shelter. The room comes complete with beds, sofas, an entertainment center, mini-kitchen, library and bath.
Located in Peach Springs, Arizona, the place opens June 1; room rate is $700 double occupancy; $100 per additional guest.
