Unusual items at Harley-Davidson Museum

Milwaukee's Harley-Davidson Museum will open a summer exhibit of unusual artifacts June 11, putting hundreds of never-before-displayed items out for viewing in a 10,000- square-foot garage.

Items to be displayed include prototype concept motorcycles that were never manufactured, offbeat riding accessories, such as brake-light helmets and riding goggles, plus a 10-foot sled powered by a motorcycle engine that was sold as a kit in the 1930s. The special exhibit runs through Aug. 21, details at h-dmuseum.com.
