Craving a vacation but don’t want to break the bank? According TripAdvisor, you should stay away from New York and Paris and think more along the lines of Las Vegas or Bangkok.

The popular travel site has created TripIndex, which ranks domestic and international cities by travel costs so that vacation-seekers can find the best bargains.

The ranking is based on the cost of an average one-night stay in each city including a room in a four-star hotel, a five-mile taxi ride, a dry martini and a large cheese pizza.

New York City tops the list as the most expensive U.S. destination, with expenses totaling $366.87, while Las Vegas is the cheapest, at $163.59.

Internationally, Paris takes the top spot with a cost of $428.88. Europe was also ranked as the most expensive continent to visit.

Bangkok was listed as the most affordable overseas city with a cost of $111.99.

Other bargain locales include Beijing and Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, internationally and Dallas and New Orleans in the United States.
