CONWAY, S.C. — Coastal Carolina and Delaware will play a home-and-home football series in 2026 and 2029.

Both schools announced the matchups Tuesday. The Chanticleers of the Sun Belt Conference will play at Delaware on Sept. 3, 2026. The Blue Hens, who are joining Conference USA in 2025, come to Coastal Carolina on Sept. 22, 2029.

Coastal Carolina and Delaware have never faced each other in football.

The Chanticleers will be the second nonconference FBS opponent to play at Delaware after UConn is scheduled to play there in 2025.

Coastal Carolina finished 8-5 a season ago, defeating San Jose State 24-14 in the Hawaii Bowl.

Delaware was 9-4 in its final season in the Football Championship Subdivision, losing in the second round of the FCS playoffs to Montana State. The Blue Hens will start their transition to the Football Bowl Subdivision this fall.
