These 51 businesses and projects on Long Island have won nearly $25 million from New York State
More than 50 businesses, nonprofits and municipalities on Long Island have snagged nearly $25 million in state grants and tax credits in an ongoing statewide competition.
The Regional Economic Development Councils contest, begun in 2011, distributes business aid based on recommendations of local councils consisting of business executives, union leaders, educators and nonprofit leaders.
The annual competition wraps up in the spring.
