Camp Hero Memorial Day Hike
Moderately-paced 4 mile hike and stroll through the former Camp Hero, which was the largest military base ever operational in the Town of East Hampton from 1942 to 1981, featuring more than a half dozen bridges over the area's numerous running brooks, meet at Point Woods trailhead, roadside parking on Camp Hero Rd., bring snacks, liquids and tick protection. Guided Nature Walk: Birds, Bees and Blooms
Join us for an energetic walk through the woodlands and to the pond to immerse yourself in all that the season has to offer. Members of the North Shore Audubon Society will help us identify migrating birds, and our nature guide Hildur Palsdottir will teach us about the trees, shrubs and flowers that have recently bloomed. Our youngest guests will have the opportunity to play Spring Bingo as we walk, and afterward all guests can create a seed bomb with native wildflowers to plant in our woods or take home. This walk is geared for adults and children 5+ but all are welcome
