Former Newsday Pulitzer Prize winning reporter Dennis Duggan joined Newsday
Right up to the last call from Walter Mondale - Fritz, as
she calls him - Geraldine Ferraro didn't think much of her chances of becoming
the first and only woman nominated by a major party to run on its presidential
ticket.
