Former Newsday Pulitzer Prize winning reporter Dennis Duggan joined Newsday
Earlier this year, Maurice Carroll, a veteran political
reporter and now director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, tried
something new. He attempted to measure the likability of John F. Kerry against
that of President George W. Bush.
"I believe a candidate's likability is one of the elements a voter
considers when he pulls the lever," Carroll said yesterday.
