Keith Luce, former chef-partner at Jedediah Hawkins House in Jamesport, has launched his new venture: a multi-venue compound at Stirling Square in Greenport.

New steakhouse opening in Floral Park

Marble, an American steakhouse, is to open Tuesday in the Floral Park space formerly occupied by Bob's Restaurant.

The new estalishment is expected to seat 132 and also have a 14-seat bar. There will be an upstairs lounge called Carrara, which seats 32.

Co-owner Christopher Corbett also runs J Fallon's Tap Room, on Tulip Avenue in Floral Park.

Once I knew that Buoy One was up and running in Huntington Village, it was just a matter of figuring out how soon I could stop in for a doubleheader of fried clams and steamers. Fratelli Trattoria, which served pizza, pasta and parms in snazzy bi-level digs within Tanger Outlets at the Arches in Deer Park, has closed.

The restaurant garnered a one and a half star rating, with praise for its puffy yet crisp crusted individual pizza and herbal linguine with white clam sauce but censure for its Gorgonzola salad with an artificially sweet-tasting raspberry vinaigrette.

The Hampton Coffee Co. (which has locations in Water Mill and Westhampton Beach) opened its new Southampton cafe on Saturday. The cavernous space (it used to house a Mini Cooper dealership) overlooks Montauk Highway. The decor is rustic/industrial, with hand-hewn farm tables and wooden bar stools warming up the gray tiled showroom with its giant coffee roasters in the back.
