God Squad: Valuing the valid
Religious belief up to the time of Copernicus was based on a fixed-earth-centric view of the universe. But now we know that the Earth rotates daily and revolves around the Sun. Also, the Hubble space telescope has shown that this sun is only one of billions in the known universe. Doesn't that mean that Earth can't possibly be the only planet in the universe harboring life?
