How to keep flies off a basset hound's ears
Q. How can I prevent flies from biting my basset hound's ears? They are all over his ears in the summertime and he has to constantly keep shaking his head to keep them off.

A. Get some flea spray for dogs that has pyrethrum as the active ingredient. Put some petroleum jelly (Vaseline) in a saucer, spray some of the flea spray on top of it and mix it together....
