Well-intended clown stranded trying to cheer up kids

Cuddles the Clown traveled from Michigan to cheer up students affected by the Newtown shooting, but is waiting for word on when she can perform.

MILFORD - A professional clown on her way to Connecticut ran into some problems while trying to cheer up students in Newtown.

Cuddles the Clown and her husband, Don Bolterstein, took an RV from their native Michigan to help those affected by the shooting. However, their vehicle ran out of heat and hot water and they've been staying in the parking lot of a local Walmart.

The couple says they've used extra blankets at night and have put tape on the windows, but are still waiting to hear from the Newtown Parks Department about when she can perform.

In the meantime, Cuddles went to Newtown today to give out hugs in the street.
