The museum traces the history of Babylon from the time it was known as Huntington South in the 1700s, highlighting its presence as an industrial area (paper and saw mills), as a stage stop for those en route to Montauk through the time it became an incorporated village in 1893, the resort and hotel era to present day. The society also maintains the 1803 Conklin House, a period house, open for special events only
