The body of a Far Rockaway man reported missing last month was found Wednesday off Smith Point County Park — the second person discovered dead in Suffolk waters in less than 24 hours, police said.

Pierre Morris, 45, an employee of H & L Contracting of Hauppauge, had been working on a boat at Smith Point Marina on Nov, 18 when he is believed to have fallen overboard, according to Suffolk Police. He was reported missing by a co-worker at 3:20 p.m. the same day. His body was recovered at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

The day before, Suffolk Police Marine Bureau officers found the body of a man in the Great South Bay at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, the victim of an apparent drowning, authorities said.

He was found at Grass Island, roughly one mile south of Fire Island Avenue, Suffolk detectives said. The victim's age, name and hometown were not immediately known.

The Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the man's identity, police said.

Suffolk detectives are asking anyone with information on his death to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.
