Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced $260,000 in funding for 23 projects, including a Roosevelt group, as part of the FreshConnect farmers market program, launched in 2011 to bring fresh produce from New York farms to underserved communities throughout the state.

State Sen. Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick) will host a job resource expo to help better prepare residents looking for employment.

Nick Secchi is looking for the heroes who saved him and his puppy from almost certain death on the evening of March 4.

Secchi, 49, of Freeport, is retired on disability because of leg problems.
