Six bullet casings were found at the scene, police said.

Police said the victim, identified only as a 28-year-old man, was exiting his car when the two masked men approached. Both bandits were armed with handguns, police said.

The two began to search the victim's pockets, police said, but the victim dropped his car keys and cellphone -- and fled as the robbers picked up the items. It was then, police said, that the robbers began shooting at the victim, missing him.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
