Google honors Jackie Robinson

First he broke the color barrier. Then he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Now he has his own Google doodle.

The journey continues for Jackie Robinson.

Robinson would have been 94 on Thursday, and Google celebrated the date -- which is just a day shy of the start of Black History Month -- with a Robinson Google doodle.

The Mets have added LaTroy Hawkins to their bullpen mix, signing the veteran righthander to a minor league contract that includes an invite to spring training. Hawkins' agency announced the signing via Twitter early Thursday morning.
