US war photographer James Nachtwey poses in front of his 11-meter-long frieze 'The Sacrifice' at the Museum of Military History in the eastern German city of Dresden on February 11, 2012. The frieze is composed of photographs of wounded US soldiers during and after their treatment in various field hospitals in Iraq in 2006. It is part of the first special exhibition 'War' at the Military History Museum in Dresden from 12 February to 31 May. Earlier Nachtwey have been awarded with the 3rd 'DresdenPrize' international peace award.
