About Mike Pelfrey

Michael Alan (Mike) Pelfrey (born January 14, 1984) is a starting pitcher in the New York Mets organization. He is a 6' 7", 210-pound right-handed power pitcher considered by Mets management to have the potential to become a star at the Major League level. His stature and pitching style has led fans and Mets brass to dub him "BIG PELF". His teamates have also nicknamed him Big Donkey similar to Adam Dunn of the Reds.
