LAS VEGAS, NV - APRIL 17: (L-R) Directors Oliver Stone, Sam Raimi and Guillermo del Toro pose after speaking at a filmmakers' roundtable at Caesars Palace during CinemaCon, the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners, on April 17, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
We were brought on to design characters for Sam Raimi's OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL and had a big appetite for a combination of prosthetics, animatronics, and digital-enhanced characters. Ours was a different direction than production was headed (it's easy for us to have a big appetite when we're not paying the bills). Ultimately, the job went to our friends at KNB.
Both systems are great. I hope [exhibitors] put them in theaters. They create sonic dimension, and I don’t think home systems will have this for a quite a while.More quotes »
