It looks like Isabella Rossellini and Laura Dern will be celebrating Mother's Day at The Gateway in Bellport.

The two actors will co-host the May 12 performance of the one-woman show "Confessions of a Mulatto Love Child," which is being presented as a fundraiser for the theater and for Mama Farm, the 28-acre Brookhaven farm established by Rossellini in 2013. The intriguingly titled show is written by and stars Bellina Logan, who plays multiple characters in the humorous and heartfelt story of the bond between a biracial child and her acerbic English mother, a relationship that becomes more complicated when the older woman develops Alzheimer’s disease.

Rossellini, a longtime Bellport resident, will also share some recollections of her own relationship with her mother, three-time Academy Award winner Ingrid Bergman. Dern, who won an Oscar for the 2019 drama "Marriage Story," is scheduled to appear in support of Logan, who has been a close friend since childhood. Dern is also friends with Rossellini, her co-star in the films "Blue Velvet" (1986) and "Wild at Heart" (1990).

Tickets for the event are $100 and can be purchased at thegateway.org. For an additional $50, guests can attend a post-show reception with the artists at Mama Farm.

Rossellini is well-known for her support of the arts on Long Island. In 2022, she appeared at The Gateway in her one-woman show, "Darwin’s Smile," which bridged the worlds of art and science. On March 29, she hosted a screening of her latest film, "Problemista," at Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center in Patchogue.
