While one Democrat took steps last weekend to jump into a state Senate race, another has decided not to run.

Ryan Cronin said Monday he will not take on Sen. Kemp Hannon (R-Garden City) in a Nassau County rematch.

Cronin, who lost 52 percent to 48 percent in 2012, had pondered running again. But in the last year, he’s gotten married and started a new job, and now thinks it’s time to focus on work and family.

Elsewhere, another Nassau race began to take shape when Democrat Adam Haber announced he’s formed a campaign committee to run against Sen. Jack Martins (R-Mineola).
