Suffolk Legislature starts 'open access' site

The Suffolk Legislature has launched a new website that officials call “the most transparent look at Suffolk County government ever offered.” It makes available data that includes contract awards, budgets, legislators’ initiatives and a link to candidates’ political contributions.

Former Legis. Brian Beedenbender had sponsored the measure ordering a study that led to the new site.
