Another Yankee hit his first home run with the club Wednesday, meaning another new call was added to John Sterling’s repertoire.

Alex Verdugo crushed the first pitch of his 10th-inning at-bat against Diamondbacks righthander Kevin Ginkel deep to right field for a two-run home run.

Here’s what WFAN’s Sterling had to say as Verdugo rounded the bases.

“Alex Verdugo! . . . Alexander the Great trots around.”

The homer gave the Yankees a 4-2 lead, which the Diamondbacks erased in the bottom half to extend the game.

Sterling debuted his first new call of the year Saturday when Juan Soto hit his first Yankee homer. The longtime radio voice called the slugger “Juan-derful.”
