It’ll be a middle linebacker reunion in Carolina this weekend when Mark Herzlich gets to see the player he mentored in college and the player who mentored him in the NFL.

Former Giants Chase Blackburn and Domenik Hixon both signed with the Panthers this offseason, but so far neither is making much of an impact. Blackburn has yet to play a down on defense and while he has been seeing the field on special teams quite a bit he’s come up with just one tackle in two games.
