It seems like Ellen DePasquale has two constituencies to please in her role as leader of the newly re-forming Long Island chapter of Webgrrls International.

One would be those hardcore tekkies looking to discuss the intricacies of, say programming and web design. The other – women professionals and business owners who are “not so tech savvy” and more in need of the basics.

“These are two very different sides of the coin,” said DePasquale, a software consultant and author, who expects the chapter will come to create programming for both.

All this will be discussed at the re-launch event April 27 in Farmingdale.

The goal, she says, “is to build a community and allow membership to steer the direction the chapter will take.”
