Until recently, Seuss was chief executive of luxury footwear and outerwear company Cole Haan and vice president of Nike, Inc. He’s accepted a position starting in March as chief executive officer of timepiece retailer Tourneau Llc. In the meantime, Seuss closed on the sale of his four-bedroom cedar home overlooking Gardiners Bay.
The 3,300-square-foot house sold for $985,000, and is adjacent to the golf course of the Gardiners Bay Country Club and a block from the beach. The .88-acre property is surrounded by cherry trees and Japanese maples.
