Bloom and Kerr officially announce their engagement

British actor Orlando Bloom and Australian Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr have officially announced their engagement.
The couple have been dating since 2007, and made their first public appearance together in April 2008 at the Doncaster Handicap, a major Aussie horse race taking place in the suburbs of Sydney.

A representative for Bloom, 33, told "Entertainment Tonight" Monday that "Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are getting married."
The Australian media had reported rumors of the couple's engagement in November 2008, which the couple denied. Six months later, according to People magazine, Kerr was spotted with what appeared to be an engagement ring on her left ring finger, though the couple's representatives offered no comment. Kerr, 27, was seen ringless as recently as Friday on her way to New York, according to E! Online.
