Nassau County police are asking for the public’s help in determining who stole a Hempstead woman’s vehicle, which had been modified to accommodate her disabled son.

Third Squad detectives reported that the woman had parked her 2007 Chrysler Town & Country car in the driveway of her Byrd Street home around 8 p.m. on May 20.

Third Squad detectives reported that the woman had parked her 2007 Chrysler Town & Country car in the driveway of her Byrd Street home around 8 p.m. on May 20.

The next morning at 11 a.m., police said, she discovered that her car was gone.

Detectives ask that anyone with information about the crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
