Bertha "Betty" Leavandosky was born Jan. 7, 1914, in Bayonne, N.J., to Walter and Alexandra Danielowski. Betty married Frank Leavandosky in 1939, and they lived in Patchogue. Betty was a homemaker while working part time for the A&P Tea Co. in Patchogue. Upon retirement, she became involved in the North Patchogue Senior Citizens Club, serving as secretary for many years. Betty has two children: Barbara Fransen, and son-in-law Carlton, of Northport; and Whitey Leavandosky, and daughter-in-law Karen, of Patchogue. Betty enjoys being involved with her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She celebrated her birthday with family and friends.
