YOLANDA MCLAUGHLIN was born June 20, 1910, to Louis and Louisa Garbarini. She had five siblings, all of whom are deceased. Yolanda worked for the New York Telephone Co. and in 1934 married John McLaughlin. They had two sons and moved to Farmingdale in 1952. Widowed in 1961, Yolanda worked at Northside Elementary School in the Farmingdale school district. Upon retiring, she moved to Florida where she met and married Earl Bayard (now deceased), and later married Edward Demerley (now deceased). She returned to Long Island, living at Leisure Village in Ridge before moving to The Arbors at Bohemia, where she enjoys activities like bingo. She celebrated her birthday there with a party attended by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
