The rains that drenched Long Island last week are still affecting the Long Island Rail Road, with a "high-water condition" in the Montauk Yard causing a suspension of rail service Tuesday between Montauk and Amagansett, officials said.
The high water is coming from nearby Fort Pond and also suspended service on Monday.

As a result, bus service has replaced train service between the two East End stations.
The railroad runs five westbound trains -- and seven eastbound -- to and from Montauk on weekdays; and four westbound trains and five eastbound trains on weekends.
