The right lane on the Long Island Expressway near Dix Hills has been reopened after two tractor trailers collided early Monday and closed the entrance to the Long Island Welcome Center.

At 4:20 a.m., two eastbound tractor trailers collided between Exits 51 and 52, Suffolk police said.

The incident caused one of the trucks to leave the roadway and crash into nearby woods. The other struck the guardrail just before the entrance to the Long Island Welcome Center, police said.

Two other motor vehicles were also disabled after running over debris left in the wake of the crash.

No injuries were reported, police said.

Traffic delays took place through the rush hour, but by noon, traffic was moving well in both directions in the vicinity of the crash.
