The wake for fallen NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo will be held Wednesday in Bethpage, and funeral services are scheduled for Thursday morning in Massapequa.

Tuozzolo, 41, of Greenlawn, a 19-year NYPD veteran, was shot and killed Friday trying to apprehend a gunman in the Bronx.

The wake for fallen NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo will be held Wednesday in Bethpage, and funeral services are scheduled for Thursday morning in Massapequa.

Tuozzolo, 41, of Greenlawn, a 19-year NYPD veteran, was shot and killed Friday trying to apprehend a gunman in the Bronx.

Visiting hours are 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Rd., according to the funeral home’s website.

There will be a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima, 2 Bayview Ave. in Massapequa, according to the website.

Interment will be private, the website said.

Nassau County police said parking is prohibited on Hicksville Road, between Hempstead Turnpike and the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway, and on Stewart Avenue, from Hempstead Turnpike to Boundary Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Also, on Wednesday, Stewart Avenue from Hempstead Turnpike to Boundary Avenue will be closed to traffic from noon to 10:30 p.m., police said.

On the day of the funeral, Merrick Road, between Hicksville Road and Park Boulevard, will be closed to traffic at 9 a.m. until around 2 p.m., police said.

The Massapequa school district is closing schools Thursday due to the road closures and traffic generated by the funeral, the district website said.
