Reliever Manny Acosta was available, even though his right pinkie still is "pretty sore," according to Collins. Acosta cracked part of his nail trying to field a comebacker Tuesday night.

Asked about Johan Santana, Collins said: "Same stuff, different day. Groundhog Day." The manager said he's not asking any more questions about Santana's progress. "I'm waiting for him to call me and tell me, 'I'm ready.' "
