Josh Mauga will miss the rest of the year with a torn pectoral muscle, a souce told Newsday.

The linebacker -- who was Bart Scott's primary backup -- was injured during Monday night's game and was seen with his arm in a sling in the locker room. Mauga's injury comes on the heels of cornerback Darrelle Revis' season-ending ACL tear, nose tackle Sione Po'uha's nagging back injury and Kenrick Ellis' undisclosed knee injury.

Ellis, who started in place of Po'uha against the Texans, suffered the injury with about five minutes left in the game. Rex Ryan said the defensive lineman would undergo an MRI Tuesday, but ruled out an ACL injury.

It's assumed Ellis has suffered a MCL sprain, which could keep him out two weeks. But Ryan is expected to give an injury update tomorrow.
