Tom Roche ran for a 50-yard score and caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from Giancarlo Rengifo as Clarke beat East Rockaway, 30-20, in its Nassau IV opener on Saturday.

Justin Somyak caught a 57-yard touchdown pass from Rengifo, who added an interception on defense. Nick Iannucci had a 26-yard touchdown run to give Clarke a 30-20 lead late in the fourth quarter.

Cold Spring Harbor 27, Island Trees 12: C.J. Reilly rushed for 100 yards and two TDs on 13 carries and completed 3 of 5 passes, including a 41-yard touchdown to Kyle O’Grady for Cold Spring Harbor. Bryce Kipnes rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries and Caden O’Connor caught two passes for 50 yards. Reagan Reilly made seven tackles, including one for a loss, and a sack. CSH scored 27 consecutive points.

West Hempstead 28, Seaford 6: Jon Balthazard rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries for West Hempstead. His 68-yard touchdown run with 7:41 left in the third quarter gave West Hempstead a 20-6 lead. Corey Pierre scored two touchdowns. His 1-yard touchdown run with 17 seconds left in the first quarter capped a 65-yard drive and tied the score at 6. His 15-yard TD run with 5:52 left in the fourth quarter capped the scoring. Gavin Lee also ran for an 80-yard touchdown.

Mineola 14, Oyster Bay 0: Jack Ryan rushed for a touchdown and passed for another to lead Mineola. Tommy Renner caught a 12-yard touchdown pass. Mineola’s defense forced four turnovers. Luke Santaniello had two and Liam Jenal and Josh Brown each added one.

Valley Stream South 41, Carle Place/Wheatley 7: Daiyaan Mir rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries and Aiden Chance added 186 yards two TDs on 14 carries for Valley Stream South.

Malverne 34, Lawrence 6: Norman Brown and Brandon McLauglin each rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown for Malverne. Farvens Ulysse threw for 72 yards and two touchdowns. Chad Wesley had a 61-yard touchdown run.
