Newsday's annual list of Long Island's top boys golfers as the Long Island championship, which includes all schools regardless of which season they compete in, draws nearer. All stats on the alphabetical list below are from their last completed season unless otherwise noted.

(Nassau schools in Conferences IV, V and VI compete in the fall season while Conferences I, II and III compete in the spring. All Suffolk schools compete in the fall.)

Colby Baran, Riverhead, Soph.

Baran finished second at the individual county championship and went 12-1 in team match play with a 37 average last fall.

Zach Berger, Westhampton, Soph.

Berger shot rounds of 75 and a 74 in the county championship to finish fourth at 149 last fall. He finished tied for 24th at the state championship last June with a 14-over par 158.

Liam Blackmore, Southampton, Sr.

Blackmore tied for sixth (151) with rounds of 79 and 72 at the county championship last fall.

Domenick Caponi, Plainedge, Jr.

Caponi finished with a 1.401 adjusted scoring average over par last fall.

Kaiden Capurso, Bayport-Blue Point, Fr.

As an eighth-grader, Capurso was 8-2 in league play and was 10-2 overall with 35.3 average. He finished fifth at the county championship (150) and will represent Suffolk at the state championship this June.

Spencer Cohen, Roslyn, Soph.

Cohen finished with a 2.602 adjusted scoring average over par last fall.

Phil Connolly, Garden City, Jr.

Connolly finished with a 0.393 adjusted scoring average over par in league play last fall.

AJ Dahlk, Harborfields, Sr.

Dahlk finished tied for sixth with a 151 at Spring Lake Golf Course at the county championship last fall.

Danny Daitch, South Side, Jr.

Daitch finished with a 2.309 adjusted scoring average over par last fall.

Joseph Dolezal, Wheatley, Sr.

Dolezal won the Nassau individual championship with a 141, which included a second-round score of 69 at Bethpage Red last spring. He finished tied for eighth at the state championship with an 8-over par 152.

Jack Estrella, Friends Academy, Sr.

Estrella shot a 1-over 72 on both days of the Nassau individual championship at Bethpage Red last spring.

Owen Jessop, Westhampton, Jr.

Jessop won the individual county title last October when he parred the No. 1 playoff hole for a 147 at Spring Lake Golf Course.

Bryce Karty, Port Washington, Jr.

Karty shot a 143 at the Nassau individual championship and led all scorers with a 10-over 81 on Bethpage Black in the Long Island championship. He helped Port Washington to county and Long Island team titles last spring. He finished tied for 37th at the state championship (161).

Ashton Klar, Locust Valley, Jr.

Klar finished with a 1.378 adjusted scoring average over par last fall. 

Dean Muratore, St. Anthony’s, Sr.

The Michigan commit and Newsday’s returning Player of the Year shot a 3-under par 68 to win the CHSAA state championship by seven strokes and set an 18-hole school record last season. Muratore averaged 1.44 strokes under par per nine holes, which was the lowest scoring average in the NSCHSAA.

Sean Shallat, Friends Academy, Sr.

Shallat finished tied for 33rd at the state championship with an opening score of 76 and a second-round score of 84 last spring.

Thomas Trotta, Sayville, Sr.

Trotta tied for sixth at the county championship with rounds of 77 and 74 at Spring Lake Golf Course last fall.

Tim Wallace, Massapequa, Jr.

Wallace finished with a 3.221 adjusted scoring average over par last fall. 

Harry Wolk, Half Hollow Hills West, Soph.

Wolk finished tied for third with a 149 at the individual county championship last fall and will compete in the state championship this June.

Brian Zhao, Jericho, Jr.

Zhao finished tied for 78th at the state championship last June with a 178 last spring.
