Chris Kreider: That was a goal!
Chris Kreider was agitated.
He was sure that his shot had hit Colorado goaltender Calvin Pickard’s glove, which was in the net, before the puck was covered up in the crease. It would have given the Rangers a 3-2 lead at 4:09 of the third period. But it was ruled no goal on the ice, and he pleaded with the officials.

“It was in,” Kreider said afterward. “I saw it.” But a video review was inconclusive in determining whether the puck completely crossed the goal line, so the call on the ice stood, according to the NHL Situation Room.
Girardi back Monday?
Dan Girardi, who missed his second consecutive game, could be back Monday night against the Blue Jackets depending on how he feels Sunday. Alain Vigneault said before Saturday night’s game that Girardi, whose ankle was swollen and stitched up from blocking two shots against the Ducks, “is coming along.”
Girardi will test the injury in practice Sunday, Vigneault said. Adam Clendening dressed for the second straight game against Colorado and played 14:45, with one shot and three blocks.
