Can anything go against the way of Jon "Bones" Jones right now?

First, he wins his fight at UFC 126 and is awarded a light heavyweight title shot at UFC 128 in the ring as part of the broadcast.

Then, a ton of hype,  a half-hour documentary and signing autographs as "Champion 2011."

Now, just a few hours before that title shot against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in Newark on Saturday night, Jones thwarted a crime. It happened near a public park in Patterson, N.J., according to a source. Details from the police report have not yet been released.

Here is a series of tweets from Jones' verified Twitter account at twitter.com/jonnybones:

"So while we were at the park today a crack head smashed this old ladys car window and took off running with her gps just as we were pulling up"

"right away....Coach Wink goes after this guy. Without hesitation, Coach Jackson went after him...I was shocked and stood there for a second"

That would be Mike Winkeljohn and Greg Jackson, Jones' trainers at Jackson's Submission Fighting in Albuquerque, N.M.

"then I threw my phone down and went with my coaches. Before you know it, we're sprinting up a steep hill chasing after him."

"I turned the jets on....we caught the guy. We got the lady's gps back"

"Here's a picture of greg and I subduing the bad guy while waiting for the police http://plixi.com/p/85308358"

"I caught him....Coach Jackson finished him"

More details when they're available.
