Isabella Rossellini is making her presence known quite a lot lately, both on screen and in person.

The actor, who lives in Bellport, will appear at Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington on May 8 for a screening of "La Chimera," a fantasy adventure that stars Josh O'Connor as an archaeologist in search of ancient Etruscan artifacts. Rossellini plays the dowager mother of the woman he falls in love with in the movie, which premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. The film will be followed by a Q&A with Rossellini.

Tickets for the event are $60 and can be purchased at cinemaartscentre.com. Proceeds will go toward paying for the theater's new projector, which will be installed in June.

This will mark Rossellini's third appearance in several weeks to help support local theaters. On March 29, she appeared at the Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center for a screening and discussion of the film "Problemista," in which she serves as the narrator.

On May 12, Rossellini and her friend, Oscar-winning actor Laura Dern, will host a performance of the one-woman show "Confessions of a Mulatto Love Child" starring Bellina Logan at The Gateway in Bellport. The event is a fundraiser for The Gateway and also Mama Farm, the 28-acre Brookhaven farm established by Rossellini in 2013.
