Traffic was briefly snarled on the westbound Southern State Parkway Monday morning after a box truck struck a parkway overpass near Exit 21, Nassau Road, in Roosevelt, state police said.

The accident was reported at 7:38 a.m., police said.

Traffic was briefly snarled on the westbound Southern State Parkway Monday morning after a box truck struck a parkway overpass near Exit 21, Nassau Road, in Roosevelt, state police said.

The accident was reported at 7:38 a.m., police said.

Police said the truck was removed quickly to the road's shoulder and said debris that had caused delays was quickly removed from the road surface. By law, trucks are not allowed on area parkways.

No injuries were reported in the incident, police said.
