Two teenagers who stole a Westbury woman's car and other items from her home this month were charged with burglary after detectives located the vehicle at one suspect's home, Nassau police said Friday.

Demorris Baity, 18, of Westbury, was arrested Jan. 10 hours after the burglary, and Rockey White, 19, of New Cassel, turned himself in Thursday at the Third Precinct, police said.

The case started Jan. 10 when a woman on Roxbury Road noticed her rear basement door and window had been opened about 4 a.m., police said. She noticed her Acura was gone from the driveway, while her pocketbook, two iPhones, an iPad and her car keys were missing from the kitchen, police said.

Police found the Acura at Baity's home at 740 Franklin St. in Westbury and arrested him.

The victim also told detectives that her bank card had been used without her knowledge, police said.

Detectives found White had used it at the 7-Eleven on Powell Lane in Westbury, police said.

Baity and White were each charged with second-degree burglary. Baity was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, while White was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third-degree identity theft.

Baity was arraigned Jan. 11 and held pending bail of $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond. White, arraigned Thursday, was held on the same bail, and a temporary order of protection was issued against him.
