A Nassau County police officer was injured when his patrol car rolled over at a Long Island Expressway entrance in Syosset Monday night, police said.

The Second Precinct officer was taken to a hospital by police ambulance for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

The accident took place at an entrance ramp off South Oyster Bay Road about 8:50 p.m., police said.

The cause of the accident was under investigation Monday night, police said.
